Composable Finance

What is Composable Finance?

Composable Finance is a platform that aims to facilitate mass adoption of decentralized finance (DeFi) by enabling interoperability across different blockchain ecosystems. The platform allows for the creation of cross-chain applications from modules that execute functions asynchronously. It is building the first cross-ecosystem implementation of Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC), which enables trustless bridging between fragmented ecosystems or those only connected through trusted solutions.

Composable Finance Grant Program

The Composable Grants Program is an initiative that offers grants and developmental assistance to projects using Composable’s technology. The program focuses on supporting projects that provide crucial functionalities or are incredibly innovative. The program is open to projects at every stage of development, from initiation to completion.

The grants program has a few foci: XCVM and CosmWasm Grants Program, and the Pallets Program.

XCVM and CosmWasm Grants Program

This program is designed to accelerate the development of cutting-edge cross-chain products within the Composable ecosystem, notably with the reveal of the XCVM. The grants program is one of Composable Finance’s strategies to attract and support innovators who utilize and build with CosmWasm. Composable Finance aims to facilitate innovative and end-user-focused development across various layers and chains. The grants program offers up to $100,000 per project.

The Pallets Program

This program invites developers to build Substrate pallets onto Picasso, helping build out a complete offering of all DeFi functionalities as building blocks for future developers to quickly architect powerful dApps on Picasso. There are three separate pallet tracks for the grants: primitive, core, and application.

  • Primitive Track: Grant recipients building essential tooling for pallets and applications deployed on the XCVM.
  • Core Track: Teams will leverage the primary primitive pallets to create building blocks that allow for user interaction and value generation.
  • Application Track: Projects will be those that leverage both primitive pallets and core functionalities.

Composable invites all developers, even those not seeking a grant, to work with their technical stack and explore the potential of their technology.

Application Process

Applicants are required to fill out an application form, clarifying how their project creates value for the Casper Network. The form includes fields for the project name, personal details, website and social channels, architecture layer, segment, project summary, collected funding amount, initial requested funding amount, and an option to be introduced to the VC network.
