RENEC Blockchain

What is RENEC Blockchain?

RENEC is a decentralized blockchain platform designed to enable creators to build experiences that provide to the billion users in the Web3 era. Founded in 2021, RENEC blockchain is an open-source project currently run by the RENEC foundation. RENEC’s third-generation blockchain architecture is designed to facilitate smart contracts and decentralized application (DApp) creation. The RENEC genesis occurred on October 14, 2022. RENEC aims to scale throughput beyond what is typically achieved by popular blockchains while keeping costs low.

The RENEC vision is to deliver a blockchain that can bring mainstream adoption to web3 and empower an ecosystem of decentralized applications to solve real-world user problems. Our mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in blockchain reliability, safety, and performance by providing a flexible and modular blockchain architecture. This architecture should support frequent upgrades, fast adoption of the latest technology advancements, and first-class support for new and emerging use cases.

RENEC aspires to create a blockchain that can facilitate widespread acceptance of web3 and strengthen a network of decentralized applications to address genuine user challenges. The goal is to enhance the current standards of blockchain dependability, security, and efficiency by offering an adaptable and component-based blockchain structure. This design is intended to allow regular updates, swift incorporation of cutting-edge technological improvements, and top-tier assistance for novel and evolving applications.

The RENEC Grant Program

Provides financial support (up to 100k USD) and resources to developers creating innovative decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts on the RENEC blockchain, promoting its wider adoption and fostering a community of collaboration and innovation.

USPs
1. Scalability: Thousands of transactions per second. The achievable speed of 67,000 transactions per second is significantly faster than most L1 blockchains

2. Extremely low fees: Fee per transaction is as close as 0.000005$
3. Easy To Explore: Dapp Starter provides a solid foundation, a powerful tool to help builders quickly scaffold out a Dapp, saving time and effort
4. Best On/Off Ramp Service: Easy to convert between fiat and crypto, bridge to remove barriers of newbie in web3, bring blockchain closer to web2 users
5. Gasless: Breakthrough solution allow transaction execution and smart contract deployment without paying any gas fees. Attract users, smooth Dapp experience and accelerate Blockchain development.

Application Process

Projects that are interested can apply online by filling out a form that includes a comprehensive project proposal and a profile of the team. Within the application, it’s essential to explain how the project will benefit the RENEC network, adhering to the specified Eligibility Criteria.
The RENEC Foundation team will continuously evaluate all grant submissions, and they may ask for more details or arrange a call with your team if necessary. They strive to process and reply to all applications within a week at most.

Projects that make the shortlist will be informed of their approval or denial via email.

Upon acceptance, your team will be given the Promise of Funding and must initiate the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to obtain the first quarter of the grant funds.

A special gasless Software Development Kit (SDK) that allows transactions without gas fees will also be provided.

Evaluation

  • RENEC Compatibility: The project should be developed on the RENEC blockchain platform.
  • Significant Impact: Whether it’s a novel DApp or one replicated from another blockchain, the project must have an innovative purpose and offer value to RENEC users.
  • Commitment to Open Source: Even if coding skills aren’t necessary for all projects, they must be created with an openness to sharing, allowing others to benefit from your insights and expertise.
  • Clear Financial Planning: Outline a transparent budget and spending plan that details how the grant will contribute to reaching your project’s objectives.
  • Proven Ability to Execute: Your project should either be in production or have a proof-of-concept to show that it’s feasible and has the potential to succeed.
